Monthly Project Accounting
Matocha Associates' project accounting process is both comprehensive and flexible. It audits and reports budgeted costs and actual costs, contract amounts and change orders, general conditions and contingency funds, and anticipated project savings.
It tracks contractor and supplier contracts, waivers, Sworn Statements, and guarantees. It provides the owner with a single, monthly Payout Report according to whatever level of accounting detail desired. From this report, the owner pays each contractor directly - Matocha Associates does not hold the money.
The Payout Report includes a summary letter, a complete accounting of costs, a change order report, original invoices and both contractor and sub-contractor waiver documentation. Typically, the Owner would then have thirty days in which to review, approve and pay each individual contractor directly. The key benefit of this process is that it provides individual contractors with the assurance they will be paid in a timely manner (which impacts positively the quality and timeliness of their work), plus it provides the Owner with the knowledge that every contractor is being paid correctly.
